Money no object.

Also, I would prefer software that would run inconspicuously* in the operating system, using minimal system resources (RAM, physical and virtual, to you noobs).

*Not like a pompous, over-glamorised warden… a la (cough) Norton (cough).

Thanks!

i would reccommend Kaspersky if you want to pay but here are the top ten about http://www.anti-virus-software-review.toptenreviews.com/

  2. Eset Smart Security is brilliant. You never know its there and updates itself a couple of times a day without you realising.
To start with its in the region of £40 but after the first year is about £25. Well worth every penny.

  3. A virus program alone isn’t always enough to protect someones computer, sometimes it takes a new internet browser! In virus protection, I would recommend McAfee. I know that several family members of mine use it, and I do as well on my school computer. I’m not sure how much it costs, but the people I know who use it all got the free version. Also, for protection while on the internet, give Mozilla Firefox a try. If you do a google search and click on a website that has been reported for security risks, it tells you first before it lets you to the website.

  5. There are some very good free anti-virus and anti-spyware solutions too, such as AVG Free, although it does seem to take up a lot of resources, it is anti-spyware as well as anti-virus, and has kept me completely virus free for years.
